Brimstone Slave Route Challenge

Annual Slave Route Challenge on 31 March 2019

Powered by Brimstone

Cape Town was built by those who were enslaved and apprentices from Indonesia and Malaysia, many Capetonians can trace their ancestors back to this time. A running event with the purpose of raising awareness about our history and heritage, Brimstone Slave Route Challenge was born.

Experienced runners can enjoy a Half Marathon or 10km Run and novices can enjoy the 10km Big Walk or 5km Fun Run / Walk. It truly encapsulates the spirit of Ubuntu! Medals for all finishers and water/snacks en-route.

This event is held under the rules and regulations of ASA and Western Province Athletics
