Annual Botrivier Challenge on 07 September 2019

Hosted by the Botrivier Education Foundation (BEF) which is a non-profitable voluntary association. The aims and objectives of the organization are to motivate and assist students in Botrivier to study in the fields of engineering, medicine and charter accountancy. Students are in a mentoring program and financial assistance is given in the form of school fees, subsistence, educational excursions and university fees. Read more at www.befoundation.co.za

General Information

  • Route
    Starts at Botrivier Station and follows the Van der Stel Pass which is a well maintain gravel road.
    • 8km and 15km Trail Run
      An exciting route which follows the exact path of the 15km MTB from which the 8km trail run branches.  Breathe taking valleys, rivers crossing, fynbos, wheat fields and renosterbos vegetation. If you look carefully the Botrivier Estuary can be seen in the distance.
    • 5km ans 10km Running and Walking
      The route follows the scenic Van der Stel Pass which is a very well maintained gravel road. Short hills scattered along the course. Interesting places along the way will be marked, like the old bridge, “kyk in die pot” and bobbejaanskloof. Water and soft drinks will be available every 3km. Please throw empty sachets in the bins provided.
  • Note that there will be NO PRIZE MONEY
  • However, a lucky draw of R2000 will take place at 12h30 for all participants
